This page explains how Betbolt — our own site at betbolt.uk, not the operator we cover — uses cookies, and what choices you have over them. It does not describe cookies set by any casino or sportsbook product; it covers only the small files this portal places when you browse it.
Cookies in plain terms
A cookie is a small text file your browser stores when you visit a site. It lets that site recognise your browser on a later visit, or remember a setting you chose. Nothing on this page requires you to understand more than that to make an informed choice.
What is stored and for how long
We use a small number of categories, each with a different purpose and lifespan:
- Necessary cookies — keep the site functioning correctly (navigation, security, remembering your cookie preference itself). These do not require consent and typically last for the browser session or a short period after.
- Analytics cookies (consent-based) — help us understand which pages get read and which do not, so we know where our content is failing readers. These only load if you accept them.
- Marketing and advertising cookies (consent-based) — support any advertising measurement on the site. These are also consent-gated and are not set until you agree.
- Preference cookies — remember small choices, such as a display setting, across visits.
None of these categories store your name, an account password, or financial details — this portal has no login and no payment function of its own.
Third parties embedded on this page
Some cookies are not ours to control directly. Analytics and advertising scripts run through third-party providers, and those providers set their own cookies once you consent to that category. We do not control what those providers do with the data beyond the purpose they're loaded for, which is why consent for that category is separate from the necessary one.
Declining without breaking the site
You can decline analytics and marketing cookies and still read every page on betbolt.uk normally. Necessary cookies can't be switched off through our consent banner because the site won't function correctly without them — but you can block or delete them at browser level if you choose, at the cost of some pages behaving oddly.
Managing cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you view, block or delete stored cookies from its settings menu — under Privacy or Security in Chrome and Edge, under Cookies and Site Data in Firefox, and under Privacy in Safari. Blocking cookies site-wide through the browser (rather than through our banner) will affect other sites too, not just this one.
Our consent banner
When you first visit, a banner asks you to accept or decline the consent-based categories above. Your choice is remembered so you are not asked again on every page, and you can change it at any time.
Updates to this policy
We may revise this page if the cookies we use change — a new analytics tool, for instance, or a script we stop running. The version you're reading is the current one; there's no separate changelog to check.

Access to betbolt.uk is restricted to those aged 18 and over (18+). If gambling stops feeling like entertainment, free and confidential support is available at BeGambleAware.org.
